Exciting Times

After closing Nottingham station Wednesday, I then went up to Sheffield on Thursday and met Keith Hukin, the director of the show I just got the job for and boy, is that a tour! I even go to Telford so Big Daddy Merk I'm expecting your attendance with your posse. Basically I'm in constant work from August 22nd right through to November 19th with hardly a day off (so DAMN YOU those people who think actors don't have to work hard...we don't even get Sundays off!) and hopefully I'll finish that job and go straight to another I've got lined up.

Cool.

Friday, Marie and booked a holiday to Kos, or Kefalos to be more precise for a week in the intense Greek sun, basking like human shaped sharks and eating loads of excellent Greek food. We're off on the 11th and back on the 18th. Bloody, ruddy brilliant. I also got some new images done for my acting portfolio, I'll put some online when I've the time but rushed off me arse at the moment.

Next up is finding a home in London town, this time not to buy but to rent for Marie and I, we're seeing about 15 gaffs on Monday and hope to find something before we jet off for some much needed tanning.

And that, I think, is about it for now but if you've any sparetime please go and harass this young blogger who is so right-wing that he may be verging on the fascist. He comments under the name of Ben and his blog makes for distressing reading as he lays blame on Muslims, Chinese and just about everybody else.

Peace.

  5. Gemma: I don't have any free time at all at the moment, with rehearsals and holiday. I am very sorry but we'll have to put it on hold for now until I can get my head above water. I doubt I can even do my final essay, I have to ask for an extensiona nd never mind moving house.

I am having a small panic attack.

  6. Never rains but it pours. Good luck, Daniel--and just keep doing the next right thing.

As far as ben goes...he's exactly the sort of person we should be ignoring. The time we spend slapping his nuts around (and Lord knows it's fun; I've done my fair share of it--both with this chucklehead and others) could be put to more productive use reaching out to people who actually use their heads for things other than as a place to put their hats on backwards.

  7. I have to agree with the pirate. I just visited Ben's site; there seems to be a lot of hatred-promoting there. I found it too disturbing.

Have a wonderful time in Greece!

  9. Kos is fantastic. Hire a car and go see the Butterfly reservation, it is completely out of the way, but beautiful. Have a great time!

  10. Racial profiling

Yes I support it, and since the majority of pedophiles tend to be single white males we should support investigating every other 5th white male who walks into a store with a kid in his hands, or any other public place. The police should walk up to the child and ask him/her is she has been sexually abused by the man who is with her. Now if the white male is her father and has nothing to hide then he shoudln't mind that we ask his dauther/son this question. If he does feel like this is a complete violation of his privacy or harassment then he has the option of not walking in any public place with his child. Sure by counting every other 5th person, we're completely missing and not investigating 80% of the possible pedophiles who walk the streets and they could easily walk by a policeman totaly unchecked, but this is what we have to do with our limited resources and it just doesn't make sense to ask the kid who walkd in with his 60 year old grandma.
