Regrets, I've Had a Few

The Balloon Pirate tagged me on his new blog yesterday and when the BP tags you, you respond.

But I'm afraid I'll disappoint you because even though I've done plenty of bad things in my life, I can't bring myself to regret anything. I've learnt more from all the stupid things I've done than any positive experience. Take all the bad stuff away and I'd be a shadow of who I am (or so I like to think). So I'm copping out, je regret rein. I also have to break the rules and not pass this on. I hate memes.

Tour winds back into action today, we are now into the last 3 weeks of Bouncers. Hopefully should be seeing Sally tonight in Milton Keynes, before enjoying the delights of Hexham, Tamworth and Bedford. Not exactly the theatrical heartlands of Britain but there you go.

If you're bored while I'm gone why not have a stab at this caption competition, or perhaps play stick cricket.

Remember that we are atuned to higher voltages than your average wage slaves.

Godber chose to entertain first and to enlighten by osmosis. Was he wrong?

Our lives are hugely different to those lived by our audiences. On the whole they prize security, predictability and the delusion of imortality over truth.

Entertainment will bring them into the room. Now what you choose to do with them once they're in there is entirely up to you.

    Mmm. Sounds like fun.

  2. Well, I've done plenty of things I regret in some ways, but as you say; it's all a learning experience. And nothing I'll admit to! ;o)

  3. I just read the last post. I don't understand it completely, but I'm guessing it isn't good. I'm so sorry you're going through tough times right now. I've been there/done that. :P

Dan, the show is wonderful and I cried with laughter with your Michael Jackson dancing.... your comic timing is superb and I can honestly say (not just because i know and love you) that this is one of the best shows I have seen this year...a highlight...thank you for a fun night...good luck with the rest of the tour hon.

  7. My only regret was giving up my career in the hardcore porn industry. I'll never forget that fateful day when my promising career was cut short by injury. I was performing a particularly tricky DP manouvre when I fell off the bed and twisted my back. After that, I could only get work as a fluffer...

Of course, I'm just joshing with you there. ;-)

My only regret (so far) was meeting my errant father about 12 years ago. I thought we might be able to have a father-son relationship, but it just ended in rejection and disappointment.
