Some excellent pix. I like the flashes of light across some of the pictures and I think I recognise most of the locations. That train station near the Capitol is quite amazing, isn't it?The whole place is quite iconic too, having been in so many American movies and documentaries.
Thanks, Eva took most of them, she has a great eye for a picture and a good skill with photo editing software. And yes, Union Station is awesome, bigger than Grand Central in NY and yes, it is like walking around a memorial city.
Lovely photos. DC is on my list of places to visit, it looks so fascinating. You two look very cozy, all bundled up - loving the shades too!
Tunlaw and Beecher?????!!!!!!!!!! WTF? That was my hood ... what the heck were you doing that way?
Beth:Indeed it is, if you get the funds and the time, do go but avoid top tourist season in the summer.Ellie:Henry Rollins and his punk rock pal Ian McKaye lived round there, Tunlaw was Rollins' street as a young man and McKaye still lives on Beecher and has offices there.Didn't know you were a DC dude, must have missed that. Cool.
